Collaboration with Covering

What is being experienced in corporate America is the disenchantment of executive privilege and top down power grabs. I would even add, that this unraveling of corporate greed and control is spilling over into other sectors of non profits. For example in the world I have served in for 35 years, the religious body we call church, is experiencing a metamorphis of change like weve never seen before. Generation z is saying we don’ want our pastor, rabbi, priest, telling us what to do, or what not to do. We want someone to speak truth, wrapped in grace and allow us to have a voice in the life of the congregation.

The solution in it’s simplest form, a collaborative round table, with a covering. The meaning is simple. Allow a knights of the round table format and allow the king to have an equal voice, but also recognize his authority as king to cover and protect the knights. Modern day language, let each adult have a voice as leaders of the organization, but with a guide, priest, pastor, boss, whomever that is agreed upon covering of the group.

What does this do? Allows for collective voices to be heard and fosters a spirit of unity and cohesive vision casting. What is your experience in the world of business or church.
